Version en español abajo I love breakfast! It is definitely my favourite meal of the day. I mean, for breakfast it is actually socially acceptable to have something dessert-like. Seriously, how awesome is that, right? Experimenting with plant-based whole foods, I discovered that I can make a variety of super delicious breakfasts that will not only satisfy my sweet tooth, but also nourish and fuel my body. AMAZING! So let me go on to telling you about today's super tasty and easy recipe: Maca Tahini Granola. Since I was a kid I have been a huge fan of any kind of breakfast cereal. Not the healthy kind obviously. Sometimes, I would just grab the box and take out some cereal with my hands and eat it like a snack, usually until the whole package was gone. That's why I definitely had to find a healthier version of breakfast cereal that can serve perfectly on it's own with some fruit or as a snack or topping of smoothie bowls and other goodies as well. Why Tahini Maca Granola? I am huge fan of tahini, I put it on almost everything because of its neutral creamy delicious flavour. It can literally go with anything and serves as an oil substitute and at the same time makes the recipe much more interesting flavourwise. Maca powder is one of my go-tos in smoothies and oatmeal because of its benefits for female hormones and I its vanilla-like flavour. Hence, I combined the two in this recipe and the result is amazing, believe me. To sum it up, this granola is: crunchy satisfying oil-free refined-sugar free nut-free gluten-free healthy easy to make If you try this recipe, let me know!
